The image conversion apparatus (100) calculates a value of a second pixel in the case of converting an original image (IN), by referring to a storage unit that stores a value of a first pixel in the case of converting the original image (IN). For example, the image conversion apparatus (100) defines an average of the value of the first pixel in the case of converting the original image (IN), a value of a diffusion source pixel (IN[5][2]), and a diffusion source pixel (IN[5][3]) as the value of the second pixel in the case of converting the original image (IN).
