The present invention relates to a shift register, a method for manufacturing the same, and an image display device using the same, wherein each stage of the shift register can be stably driven even though driving control signals inputted from the outside are distorted or errors occur, thereby preventing defects in an image display and enhancing reliability. In the shift register in which multiple stages are dependently interconnected, each of the multiple stages comprises: a node control unit controlling a charge/discharge state for a set node and first and second reset nodes according to a start pulse or a scan pulse from a preceding stage and a scan pulse from a next stage; and a scan pulse output unit controlled by a voltage of the set node and the first and second reset nodes to output a scan pulse from a current stage, wherein the node control unit installed in at least one of the multiple stages includes: a first switching element connecting a voltage source for charge to the set node according to the scan pulse from the preceding stage to charge the set node; and a second switching element having a size asymmetrically different from that of the first switching element and connecting a voltage source for discharge to the set node according to the scan pulse from the next stage to discharge the set node. |
