1. A method of scanning content comprising:
receiving, by a processor, an input signal at substantially the same time that a first segment of digital media content is being played at a play frame rate, wherein the first segment includes a plurality of first frames, and wherein the digital media content includes a second segment comprising a plurality of second frames following the first segment; determining, by the processor, that a duration for which the input signal is received is less than a first threshold duration; and in response to the determining:
automatically accessing, by the processor, a second frame of the plurality of second frames of the second segment, andautomatically playing at the play frame rate, by the processor, the second segment beginning at the second frame.
