The present invention relates to an image pickup device, capable of suppressing a cost increase by suppressing a chip area increase of adjacent circuits without functional degradation of a circuit unit. The image pickup device comprises: a first semi-conductive substrate and a second semi-conductive substrate. A pixel unit comprises: a photodiode generating electric charge by a photoelectric conversion; a floating diffusion unit storing the charge generated by the floating diffusion unit, temporarily; and an amplifying unit connected to the floating diffusion unit and outputting signals according to the potential of the corresponding floating diffusion unit. A thermal circuit is for processing signals outputted on vertical signal lines from the pixel unit by being connected to the vertical signal lines. |
