The present invention relates to a method for forming an adhesive layer of a separator, a separator having the adhesive layer formed thereby, and a lithium secondary battery including the same. The method for forming an adhesive layer of a separator includes the steps of: (S1) preparing a separator including a porous polymer base material on a plane having multiple pores; (S2) attaching a release film having an adhesive layer comprising a first polymer binder on a surface thereof to at least one surface of the separator so as to make the adhesive layer and the separator in contact; (S3) heating and applying pressure to the separator and an extraneous matter attached to the release film to transfer the adhesive layer to the surface of the separator; and (S4) separating and removing the release film. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the present invention can increase productivity, workability, and yield by simplifying a process of forming the adhesive layer on the surface of the separator, and reach battery performances like high capacity, high output, high efficiency, and high voltage by reducing the amount of the unnecessary polymer binder acting as resistance inside the battery. |
