The present invention relates to a lyocell material for a cigarette filter and a method for manufacturing the same. More specifically, the lyocell material, as a final product, for a cigarette filter has low strength as a crimp tow is manufactured by using a lyocell multifilament with low strength. Therefore, the lyocell material can increase process efficiency when the cigarette filter is manufactured.
