The present invention relates to an evaporative fresh water generating system for a ship to allow the smooth generation of steam through the heat exchange between a coolant and seawater in a fresh water generator. According to the present invention, the evaporative fresh water generating system for a ship includes: a coolant discharge line extended from a coolant outlet of an engine to the outside; and the fresh water generator connected to the coolant discharge line to generate steam out of seawater as the seawater is heated by the heat exchange between the seawater and the coolant from the coolant discharge line. A preheater for preheating the coolant flowing in the coolant discharge line is provided on the coolant discharge line.
