<p>The present invention relates to a method for high-speed inter-screen prediction coding of high efficiency video coding (HEVC). When a coding tree unit (CTU) is divided into a coding unit and a prediction unit and an inter-screen prediction coding mode to be applied to each prediction unit is determined, an additional computation process is skipped by early determining the inter-screen prediction coding mode in a certain condition, determining to early divide the coding unit, or determining to early terminate a dividing process based on the size information of the coding unit, prediction coding mode information, and ratio-distortion cost information. The prior HEVC inter-screen prediction coding method executing ratio-distortion optimization is improved by calculating the ratio-distortion cost with respect to all cases of the coding unit, the prediction unit dividing structure, and the prediction coding modes. Consequently, the present invention provides the method and an apparatus for high-speed inter-screen prediction coding which can efficiently reduce complexity of calculation and has high ratio-distortion performance.</p> |
