Disclosed are a robot control device and a method for controlling a robot. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the robot control device for controlling a robot between a mobile device and a robot may comprise: a control communication part including a plurality of reception modules of different communication schemes to communicate with the mobile device using a reception module selected from the plurality of reception modules; a control part to select a communication scheme corresponding to robot information which has been received by the control communication part along with a control command in order to transmit the robot information and the control command to the robot; and a controlled communication part including a plurality of transmission modules in different communication schemes to communicate with the robot using a transmission module selected from the plurality of reception modules to correspond to the communication scheme selected by the control part.
