An elastic adhesive bandage comprises an elastic strip having a central portion and extending therefrom in each of two opposite directions, a pair of elastic laterally spaced substantially parallel legs. The bandage is made from a strip 1 of elastic material having an adhesive coating 7, an absorbent pad 8 and a removable gauze covering 9. The elastic strip is formed with a pair of substantially parallel legs 3, 4, 5, 6 at each end. The material of the strip is such that the legs 3, 4, 5, 6, are more elastic than the centre portion and is preferably made from an elastic woven fabric having elastic warp threads and non-elastic weft threads. Preferably the threads across the width of the strip are non-elastic. |
