<p>The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus of processing data of an organic light emitting diode (OLED) display device, wherein the method adaptively controls peak luminance with degradation compensation to ensure compensation margins for a high grayscale range. The method of processing data according to the present invention comprises: a first step of using a maximum degradation compensation gain to modulate input data; a second step of performing degradation compensation for the input data modulated, by using degradation compensation gains; a third step of accumulating data, on which degradation compensation has been performed, to determine degradations for each subpixel, detecting and storing degradation compensation gains according to the degree of the degradations, and outputting the degradation compensation gains; a fourth step of detecting the maximum degradation compensation gain among the degradation compensation gains for each subpixel and outputting the maximum degradation compensation gain; a fifth step of analyzing the input data to set a PLC gain and to modulate the PLC gain according to the maximum degradation compensation gain; and a sixth step of analyzing the data, on which degradation compensation has been performed, to detect peak luminance and regulating the peak luminance by the PLC gain modulated.</p> |
