The present invention relates to an apparatus for calculating winding of a winch wire capable of precisely controlling a wire tension between a winch and an anchor by accurately measuring the length of wire wound around or unwound from a drum of the winch. According to the present invention, the apparatus for calculating winding of a winch wire comprises: a drum around which a wire is wound; a drive shaft driving the drum; a rotation number sensor provided on one side of the drive shaft to sense the rotation number of the drum; and a wire winding calculation module calculating the length of the wire wound around the drum or the length of the wire unwound from the drum using the below formula. <Formula 1> 2π(R+(2n-1)r) / P (R : radius of drum , r : radius of wire, n : number of wire layer, P : rotation number of drum). |
