A support bracket is releasably attachable to a telescopically extendable and collapsible pole assembly at a side of one pole section of the assembly so that a support arm projects laterally outward from the pole section at an intermediate position of the pole assembly spaced from a ceiling-engaging end of the pole assembly. The support arm defines or carries a support surface on which a length of crown moulding can be seated. The pole assembly is extended to reach between the floor and ceiling at a short distance laterally outward from the wall so as to stand in a self-supporting upright position frictionally engaging the floor and ceiling with the support arm reaching toward the wall so that the crown moulding seated on the support surface is carried in a substantially installation-ready position at the wall/ceiling joint.
