1. A method comprising:
providing a portion of a subterranean formation that comprises surfactant gel damage residue from a previous treatment, the portion of the subterranean formation having a first permeability; placing a treatment fluid in the portion of the subterranean formation, the treatment fluid comprising a nonemulsifier and dicarboxymethyl glutamic acid (GLDA) or a salt thereof; and, interacting the GLDA or a salt thereof with the surfactant gel damage residue so as to increase the permeability of the subterranean formation to a second permeability, the second permeability being greater than the first permeability and showing a permeability regain of greater than 26%.
