The present invention relates to a space touch method and a device thereof. More specifically, a method for using a 3D camera from a distance to control icons or objects displayed on a screen. According to the present invention, the space touch method includes the steps of: calculating the face center coordinates corresponding the center of a user face from an image obtained from a depth camera; calculating the image coordinates which are a two-dimensional coordinates corresponding the fingertip of the user from the image obtained from the depth camera except the distance between the user specific fingertip and the actual screen; calculating the three-dimensional space coordinates corresponding to the specific finger of the user from the calculated image coordinates and the image obtained from the depth camera; and calculating the control coordinates corresponding to the line extending another line connecting the face center coordinates and the space coordinates and the point meeting the actual screen. |
