The present invention aims to enhance strength and gear feeling of a pinion gear of a dual bearing reel. The pinion gear (32) of the dual bearing reel (100) includes: a main body part (32m); a first support part (32a) arranged on one end portion side of the main body part (32m); a second support part (32a) arranged on the other end portion side of the main body part (32m); a gear part (32b) placed apart from the first support part (32a) and between the first support part (32a) and the second support part (32d); and a recessed part (32c) arranged between the first support part (32a) and the gear part (32b). An outer diameter (D1) of the recessed part (32c) is larger than an outer diameter (D1) of the second support part (32d) and is smaller than a diameter (D3) of a bottom tooth of the gear part (32b). |
