摘要 Disclosed are a method of manufacturing positive electrode active material for a rechargeable lithium battery and a rechargeable lithium battery including the same manufactured thereby. The method of manufacturing positive electrode active material for a rechargeable lithium battery according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: injecting a complex-ion forming agent and a first mixture solution into a reactor, the first mixture solution which is produced through the mixing of a first metal solution with a second metal solution by gradually moving the second metal solution until a mixed ratio of the first and second metal solutions is reached from 100:0 to 0:100 vol%; forming a first injecting a precipitating agent into the reactor while stirring the first mixture solution with the precipitating agent to form a first precipitate in the reactor; after the mixing of the first and second metal solutions is completed, injecting, into the reactor, a second mixture solution which is formed by the mixing of a complex-ion forming agent with a third metal solution to be reacted with the precipitating agent so as to form a second precipitate on the surface of the first precipitate; and washing, drying and heat-treating the first and second precipitates, wherein the first, second and third metal solutions contain Ni, Co, and Mn; and the concentrations of Ni (mol%) in the first, second and third metal solutions are lower in that order.
