The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing titanium dioxide TiO_2 using fluoric compounds, which eliminates carbon dioxide (CO_2) generated in a method using chloride and sulfuric acid generated in a method using sulfuric acid, and performs the process continuously to simplify the process. The method for manufacturing TiO_2 using fluoric compounds according to the present invention comprises the steps of: preparing FeTiO_3; and mixing FeTiO_3 with fluoric compounds which contain at least one among HF, NH_4F or NH_4HF_2 and decomposing FeTiO_3.
