Provided is a multilayer ceramic capacitor with excellent moisture resistance reliability. In a ceramic layer (11) for an inner layer, a main component is a perovskite type compound containing Ba and Ti. The vicinity (30, 32) of a connection part between an internal electrode (12, 13) and an external electrode (20, 22) among a part (28) of the ceramic layer for an inner layer electrically valid between the internal electrodes (12, 13) is mapped and analyzed by an energy dispersive method. In the range (11a, 11b) of a 1/3 distance in a stacking direction from an interface of the ceramic layer (11) for an inner layer and the internal electrode (12, 13) of a mapping image obtained by the above analysis, L1 is the total distance of a ceramic grain boundary detected from the image, L2 is the total distance of a grain boundary wherein a rare earth element exists, and L3 is the total distance of a part of overlapping the grain boundary wherein a rare earth element exists and a grain boundary wherein an element other than Ba, Ca, Sr, Ti, Zr, O, and Ni exists. In this case, the relation ((L2-L3)/L1)×100>=50 is satisfied. |
