1. A switched mode power converter providing an output current for LED applications, the switched mode power converter comprising:
an inductor,
wherein the inductor is subjected to a current decreasing from a maximum value to zero, and immediately thereafter, the inductor is subjected to the current increasing from zero to the maximum value; a switch, is configured such that,
wherein the switch is forced to be open in response to a first change in a converter control signal, which first change is indicative of an absence of a requirement for every one of a plurality of LED loads, thereby providing an interruption; andwherein the switch is no longer forced to be open in response to a second change in the converter control signal, which second change is indicative of a recommencement of a requirement for one of any one and a plurality of the plurality of LED loads, thereby ending the interruption. |
