1. An image forming apparatus for conveying a sheet from any of a plurality of storage units and forming an image on the conveyed sheet, the apparatus comprising:
an executing unit configured to execute a job for forming an image on each of a plurality of sheets; a determining unit configured to determine for each page whether the image which is to be formed on the plurality of sheets by the job executing unit is a color image or a monochromatic image; a conveyance control unit configured to convey a sheet from a storage unit storing a sheet for color printing out of the plurality of storage units to form an image of a page determined as the color image by the determining unit and convey a sheet from a storage unit storing a sheet for monochromatic printing out of the plurality of storage units to form an image of a page determined as the monochromatic image by the determining unit; and a notifying unit configured to, if there is a possibility that a sheet is conveyed from both the storage unit storing the sheet for color printing and the storage unit storing the sheet for monochromatic printing by the conveyance control unit when the executing unit executes the job, notify a user of the possibility before the job is executed.
