The present invention relates to a method for removing magnesium impurities from a manganese compound, the method comprising the steps of: mixing a manganese compound and a sodium-based precipitate; and blowing carbon dioxide to a mixture of the manganese compound and sodium-based precipitate, wherein pH is controlled to 6.5 or less in the step of blowing carbon dioxide. According to the present invention, carbon dioxide is fed together during manganese collecting reaction (precipitation reaction), so that magnesium impurities can be removed from a manganese compound.
