<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration restraining device capable of properly restraining vibration of a structure, while securing stability of a limit load of axial force over a long period.SOLUTION: The vibration restraining device comprises a screw shaft 12a, a nut 12c threadedly engaging with this screw shaft 12a via a ball 12b and converting reciprocating motion in the axial direction of the screw shaft 12a into rotary motion, a ball screw support body 11 coaxially extending with the screw shaft 12a, having the other end part rotatably connected to the nut 12c and supporting the screw shaft 12a via the nut 12c, a rotary mass 13 rotatably constituted to the nut 12c and the ball screw support body 11 and converting relative displacement between two parts into rotary motion and limiting means 14 for limiting conversion into the rotary motion of the rotary mass 13 from the relative displacement between the two parts when a load acting in the axial direction reaches a predetermined limit load in the vibration restraining device 5 by using a predetermined working fluid provided between the nut 12c and the rotary mass 13.</p> |
