<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for minimizing influence on printed matter when a reject paper sheet is generated and economically and efficiently manufacturing printed matter in a printer using a digital printing system.SOLUTION: A printer includes: a paper feeding section for supplying continuous form paper from rolled paper; a printing section for performing digital printing on the continuous form paper traveling along a processing path; a cutting section for cutting the digitally printed continuous form paper in a direction orthogonal to the traveling direction so as to make paper sheets; a paper discharging section capable of discharging the paper sheets in a paper sheet unit from the processing path; and a stacking section for stacking the paper sheets in a printed matter unit to make a stacked body of the paper sheets. In the printer, the digital printing is not performed in the paper sheet unit for a defective region (P2) of the continuous form paper in which a defective section exists, the digital printing corresponding to the portion where the digital printing is not performed is performed on the subsequent continuous form paper (P2') of the defective region of the continuous form paper, and the paper sheet (P2) on which the digital printing is not performed is discharged from the processing path.</p> |
