PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple configuration for maintaining a larger distance between an image carrier and a developer carrier than that in image formation.SOLUTION: A gap guaranteeing member includes: a first holding section which comes into contact with an image carrier and a developer carrier, and holds the image carrier and the developer carrier at a first distance; and a second holding section which comes into contact with the image carrier and the developer carrier, and holds the image carrier and the developer carrier at a second distance smaller than the first distance. The first holding section and the second holding are arranged along a longitudinal direction of the developer carrier. The gap guaranteeing member moves in the longitudinal direction of the developer carrier, to change from a first state where the first holding section holds the distance between the image carrier and the developer carrier, to a second state where the second holding section holds the distance between the image carrier and the developer carrier. |
