PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate a solution of a cause that makes a driver doubt a defect because a drive assist device control does not start even when the driver turns on a control switch.SOLUTION: A drive assist device is configured to: check a control start condition (S2) upon starting a drive assist control; check whether all of a determination item set as the control start condition is cleared (OK) (the control start condition is met) (S3); when at least one of the determination items is uncleared (NG), determine that a determination condition is not cleared (NG), and extract the determination item which is uncleared (NG) (S5); narrow down the determination item doubted by a driver as a possible cause on the basis of a vehicle speed V and a time duration T from the uncleared item (NG) (S6 to S8); store the narrowed-down determination item as a NG code (S9); and read the stored NG code by a workperson of a vehicle dealer, and thereby the cause can be easily solved. |
