PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant monitoring device and a plant monitoring method enabling a user of the plant monitoring device to manipulate setting about the display of the state of a plant.SOLUTION: A plant monitoring device of an embodiment comprises: a manipulation display unit displaying a state of a plant and manipulating operation of the plant; a trend information table for storing trend information that is information on a variation in the state of the plant over time; a notification information setting table for setting notification information that is information on a notification condition and a notification content of the state of the plant and that is input from the manipulation display unit; a determination unit comparing the trend information in the trend information table with the notification condition in the notification information setting table, and determining whether the notification condition is met; and notification unit displaying the notification content on the manipulation display unit if the determination unit determines that the notification condition is met. |
