<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain the accuracy of detecting the amount of remaining developer even when an electrode member varies in configuration or components are changed.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: correction formula calculation means which calculates a correction formula for correcting a signal which appears in a second electrode, on the basis of an empty-state signal output by empty-state signal output means, a full-state signal output by full-state signal output means, an empty-state reference signal, and a full-state reference signal, when developer is supplied to a developer container; and residual developer calculation means which calculates the amount of remaining developer stored in the developer container, by correcting the signal appearing in the second electrode by use of the correction formula calculated in the correction formula calculation means.</p> |
