<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance appeal of an article by a display code and enhance attraction of an article or transmission performance of information by allowing arbitrary changing of layout of a sign array pattern.SOLUTION: A display code 1 that is attached to an article is a code formed by attaching additional information that is different from a message to a sign array pattern 13 which is recognizable as the message by visual observation of a person and is recognizable with a device equipped with an optical reading function. A finite two-dimensional space 11 which the display code 1 has includes a main code region 16 and a sub code region 17. The sign array pattern 13 is formed in the main code region 16. In the sub code region 17, layout setting patterns 24, 25, 26 representing setting of layout of a sign pattern 14 constituting the sign array pattern 13 are formed.</p> |
