<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a correct determination of presence/absence of a process cartridge in a low temperature environment.SOLUTION: An image formation device includes: an image formation process cartridge that is mountable/removable to/from a device body; detection means for detecting a state of a current flowing to the process cartridge; process cartridge presence/absence determination means for determining whether the process cartridge is mounted to the device body from a detection result of the detection means; and process cartridge presence/absence re-determination means, when it is determined that the process cartridge is not mounted from the detection result by the process cartridge presence/absence determination means, performs a process cartridge presence/absence determination once again after a prescribed time elapses or a prescribe operation is implemented.</p> |
