<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piston operation control device for an internal combustion engine, which can improve a fuel cost in the balance between the increase of a frictional force and the decrease of a cooling loss while keeping the lubricity of a piston.SOLUTION: A power transmission mechanism for connecting the crankshaft 7 and the piston 3 of an engine 1 is constituted by a Whitworth mechanism, and a support part 2b of a second link member 5 in said power transmission mechanism is moved by an actuator 10 so that the position of the piston 3 with respect to the rotation angle of the crankshaft 7 can be changed. In accordance with the load and the revolving speed N of the engine 1, moreover, the position of the piston 3 with respect to the rotation angle of the crankshaft 7 is changed so that the piston speed in the expansion stroke is more reduced at a high load time than at a low load time.</p> |
