The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for recognizing a terminal device for a table device. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the apparatus is configured to communicate with a table device which detects a contact with an object, wherein the apparatus comprises: a state update unit which is configured to receive motion information of a terminal device from the terminal device paired with the table device; and a terminal recognition unit which is configured to determine, when a contact with the table device is detected, whether the terminal device is in contact with the table device based on the motion information of the terminal device. |
