PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery having an excellent capacity-keeping rate after high-temperature storage.SOLUTION: Disclosed is a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery including: a flat-shaped wound electrode body 4 having a positive electrode plate 1 and a negative electrode plate 2 containing a carbon material as a negative electrode active material; a nonaqueous electrolyte; and a rectangular outer package 12 in which the wound electrode body 4 and the nonaqueous electrolyte are housed. The nonaqueous electrolyte contains fluorosulfonic acid lithium. A specific surface area of the carbon material contained in the negative electrode plate 2 is 6.7 to 8.1 m/g.
