PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection type display device that enables a light soure lamp to be efficiently cooled, while suppressing fall-off in illuminance.SOLUTION: A projection type display device comprises: a reflector 8 that guides light emitted from a bulb 10 to an emerging side; a cooling fan 2 that feeds in a cooling air inside the reflector 8; a duct 1 that connects to a downstream side of the cooling fan 2, and is arranged around an emerging side of the reflector 8; and a roll 4 that is rotatably provided inside the duct 1 so as to form an air channel where the cooling air passes through together with the duct 1. The roll 4 includes a duct 5 that is provided to be connected, at a side opposite to the air channel, to a hole formed at a predetermined location of the roll 4, and a weight 7 provided at a location facing the duct 5, and the roll 4 is provided inside the duct 1 so that the air channel is arranged around the emerging side of the reflector 8. The duct 5 guides upward the cooling air in accordance with a self weight of the weight 7. |
