<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modified cross-section polyamide multifilament suitable for obtaining a fabric such as a high quality woven or knitted fabric that is excellent in high water-absorbing and rapid drying property, moisture absorbing and releasing property, and skin touch feeling and dramatically improves moisture absorbing and releasing property in a short period of time, and to provide a method for producing the modified cross-section polyamide multifilament.SOLUTION: A modified cross-section polyamide multifilament comprises 3 to 7 wt.% of polyvinyl pyrrolidone, has 2 or more of single yarns having different cross-sectional shape and satisfies following requirements: (1) a single filament fineness is 0.2 to 1.3 dtex; (2) a number of filaments included in one thread is 10 to 150 fil.; (3) a single yarn A, which is one kind of single yarns, is a round cross-section yarn; (4) a single yarn B, which is one kind of single yarns, is a modified cross-section yarn having 2 or more of recessed portions; (5) a ratio of a number of the single yarn B having 2 or more of recessed portions to that of the total modified cross-section polyamide multifilament is 30 to 70%; (6) a lobal degree (LB) of the single yarn B is 5 to 50%; (7) a lobal degree variation (variation coefficient CV%) of the respective recessed portion in the single yarn B is less than 10%; and (8) a fineness unevenness of the respective thread is less than 0.80%.</p> |
