PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration suppression device capable of properly suppressing vibration of a structure even in a case of being installed for seismic base isolation.SOLUTION: A vibration suppression device for suppressing vibration of a structure 3 erected on a foundation 2 includes: an inertia connection element 10 that has a rotary mass 13, and converts relative displacement between the foundation 2 and the structure 3 into rotary motion of the rotary mass 13; and a viscosity attenuation element 20 that is connected to the inertia connection element 10 in series, and is connected to one of the foundation 2 and the structure 3.
