<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electron emitting element capable of preventing a voltage drop on a surface electrode and imparting a uniform in-plane potential to the surface electrode.SOLUTION: An electron emitting element 10 includes a first electrode 11, a second electrode 14 and an intermediate layer 13. The second electrode 14 is sectioned into an emission region 142 having a layer thickness suitable for electron emission and a power supply region 141 having a thicker layer thickness than the emission region 142. When a voltage is applied between the first electrode 11 and the second electrode 14, the power supply region 141 is patterned in such a predetermined shape that an in-plane voltage of the second electrode 14 can be uniformed.</p> |
