<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display element capable of improving design by patterning drawing lines on the substrate end face of a first substrate on which metal wirings are formed and connecting and mounting COF on the substrate end face to reduce a casing and a bezel, and a method of manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: A display element includes: a display panel composed of a first substrate on which metal wirings are formed and a second substrate provided by facing the first substrate; a seed layer provided on the substrate end face of the first substrate; leading lines that are patterned by plating via the seed layer and electrically connected with metal wirings; an anisotropic conductive film provided by covering the leading lines; and a chip on film that is provided via the anisotropic conductive film and electrically connected with leading lines.</p> |
