<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate installation and an adjustment of a mechanism accurately detecting a transportation amount and a transportation speed by a belt and to achieve improvement of transportation accuracy and stabilization of the transportation speed.SOLUTION: A printer 1 is provided with a belt transportation mechanism 18 mounted to a platen unit 8 facing a printing head 7. The belt transportation mechanism 18 winds three transportation belts 81 about a belt driving roller 82a and guide rollers 82b through 82d. The transportation belts 81 are curved in a concave manner as viewed from an outside of a belt passage at a position where the transportation belts 81 are wound about the guide roller 82c. The guide roller 82d is positioned outside the belt passage and is brought into contact with top surfaces (transportation surfaces) of the transportation belts 81 curved in the concave manner. An encoder 84 and an inertia member 85A are mounted to a rotating shaft 82e of the guide roller 82d, and an inertia member 85B is mounted to an output shaft 83a of a transportation motor 83.</p> |
