PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit influence of a surrounding environment on a portable engine and inhibit clogging of an air vent pipe.SOLUTION: A portable engine 10 includes: an internal combustion engine (an engine body 11); a carburetor 14 which evaporates a fuel supplied to the internal combustion engine; an air vent pipe 19 for allowing a float chamber of the carburetor 14 to communicate with outer air; a case body 15 for storing the internal combustion engine and the air vent pipe 19; and a side cover 15C which covers one side surface of the case body 15. An end part 20 of the air vent pipe 19 is formed in a region (a lower region 15F) in the case body 15 which is covered by the side cover 15C. The region communicates with the outer air. |
