<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a saccharified liquid, capable of obtaining saccharified slurry by hot water treatment of the slurry of cellulosic biomass under a supercritical state or a subcritical state in a continuous reactor, with the plug flow of the slurry being maintained, hardly causing clogging of a pressure-reducing valve in flash evaporation of the high-temperature and high-pressure slurry after hot water treatment, and to provide a device for manufacturing a saccharified liquid suitable for implementation of the method.SOLUTION: In continuous hot water treatment of a cellulosic biomass slurry in a continuous reactor, the slurry is strongly agitated in the front stage of the continuous reactor and agitated with an agitator having a weak driving force in the rear stage, so that the plug flow is maintained. The saccharified slurry is preferably diluted with a saccharified liquid, and then solids are crushed by a crusher. The slurry is then subjected to flash evaporation.</p> |
