PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve inspection accuracy of the self-discharge of a secondary battery.SOLUTION: The method for inspecting a secondary battery 1 on the basis of the amount of voltage change caused by self-discharge comprises: charging the secondary battery 1 by a predetermined amount (step S5); calculating the amount of voltage change of the secondary battery 1 after being left for a predetermined period after the charge (step S9); and comparing the amount of voltage change with a threshold value previously determined to determine the quality of the secondary battery 1 (step S10). When the quality of the secondary battery 1 is determined, the threshold value previously determined is changed corresponding to the capacity of the secondary battery 1 previously measured, and the quality of the secondary battery 1 is determined by comparing the changed threshold value and the amount of voltage change.
