AIRTIGHTNESS INSPECTION METHOD OF STORAGE BATTERY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airtightness inspection method of a storage battery capable of inspecting the airtight state in an assembled part of an electrode terminal of a lid body of a case.SOLUTION: Electrode terminals 30 and 31 are assembled to a lid body 22 using a nut 55, and the assembled part of the electrode terminals 30 and 31 on one surface side of the lid body 22 is sealed by an upside-closed container 60. The assembled part of the electrode terminals 30 and 31 on the other surface side of the lid body 22 is sealed by a downside-closed container 80. Helium gas is injected into the upside-closed container 60 by a gas nozzle 90, the presence/absence of helium gas in the downside-closed container 80 is detected by a helium detector 81, thereby inspecting the airtight state.
