<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the contact on a wall surface of a combustion chamber of spark, and to improve ignitability by promoting the generation of initial flame, concerning an internal combustion engine having an ignition plug.SOLUTION: Plug bodies 1 and 2 are attached to a cylinder head 11 such that a direction A of an air flow generated around a center electrode 3 and a ground electrode 5 at ignition in at least a part of an operation area of an internal combustion engine, and a direction of a connecting portion 7 of the ground electrode 5 when viewed from the center electrode 5 intersect each other. An opposing portion 81 of the ground electrode 5 is provided with an inclined surface 811 formed so as to gradually increase a distance from the plug bodies 1 and 2 toward the direction A of the air flow, on the opposite side to the center electrode 3.</p> |
