A method for transmitting image data comprises the steps of: receiving a control signal including address information of contents and authentication information of a control device from the control device; requesting streaming data of the contents to a media server by using the address information and the authentication information; receiving the streaming data from the media server; generating image data corresponding to the streaming data by decoding the streaming data; and transmitting the image data to the TV device.
