PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition with which bleeding hardly occurs and agglomeration unevenness hardly occurs, in a recording method of a sublimation type inkjet print transfer method.SOLUTION: There is provided an ink composition which contains a sublimable dye, an organic solvent A (hereinafter A), an organic solvent B (hereinafter B), and water, where A satisfies a property (a) and B satisfies a property (b1) or (b2). The property (a) has such the property that a mixture of 20 pts.mass of A and 100 pts.mass of polyvinyl alcohol (hereinafter PVA) generates 84 pts.mass or more of an insoluble component and, when a load of 5.3 to 7.1 g/mmis applied to the insoluble component, the insoluble component generates a lump having a mass of 90% or more to the total mass. The property (b1) has such the property that a mixture of 20 pts.mass of B and 100 pts.mass of PVA generates an insoluble component and the insoluble component generates a lump having a mass of less than 10% of the total mass under the above condition. The property (b2) has such the property that a mixture of 20 pts.mass of B and 100 pts.mass of PVA does not generate any insoluble component. In the ink composition, a mass ratio of A to B is 6 to 170. |
