PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adjustment band capable of fitting a usual cylindrical metal fitting to joint of different diameter and a method for fitting a cylindrical metal fitting using the adjustment band.SOLUTION: An adjustment band 3 comprises a ring-like band main body 4 having a division part 41 in at least one location of a peripheral direction outwardly fitted at a connecting pipe 1a; a fastener 5 for use in fastening the division part 41; and a gasket 6 tightly sealing between the connecting pipe 1a and the band main body 4. The band main body 4 is formed with a surface 31 to be tightly fitted extending axially at a radial outside position rather than the outer peripheral surface of the connecting pipe 1a and having an end part 25 of a cylindrical metal fitting 2 that can be tightly fitted.
