PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain recording quality without significantly reducing a recording time, even when there exists, not just dirt, dust, or flaw on the surface of an optical disk, an in-plane difference in the sensitivity of a recording film itself, a servo-related influence such as a tilt or focus balance, or a mechanism-related influence such as a resonance phenomenon, etc., caused to occur due to the number of revolutions or the position of an optical pickup.SOLUTION: An optical disk device comprises: a spindle motor 12 for driving the rotation of an optical disk 10; an APC 24 for correcting, upon recording data to the optical disk 10, recording power by using an evaluation parameter indicating recording quality; and a system controller 32 for comparing a recording power correction amount or the integrated value within a certain time or a certain section of the recording power correction amount with a threshold and reducing the drive speed of the optical disk 10 when the threshold is exceeded, as well as setting to recording power corresponding to the reduced drive speed. |
