PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display control device and a display system which can improve visibility of a display object of an HUD in accordance with the brightness of the vehicle periphery without changing the luminance.SOLUTION: A display control device comprises: an HUD 2 which projects and displays a display image displayed by a liquid crystal panel 4 on an HUD display section 6 being a projection member; an information acquisition section 100 which acquires peripheral brightness relevant information related to the brightness of the vehicle periphery; a brightness determination section 101 which determines the brightness of the vehicle periphery on the basis of the peripheral brightness relevant information; a display color decision section 102 which decides a display color from any color of complementary first hue and second hue in accordance with the brightness of the vehicle periphery; and a display control section 103 which makes the liquid crystal panel 4 display the display image in the display color decided by the display color decision section 102 by giving an instruction to a liquid crystal controller 3 of the HUD 2. |
