PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of an internal combustion engine capable of effectively suppressing the deterioration of exhaust emission.SOLUTION: A control device 30 controls a mixture ratio of an air-fuel mixture of a fuel injected from an injection hole 24a of a fuel injection valve 24 into a combustion chamber 14 of an internal combustion engine 10 and a gas in the combustion chamber 14. The engine 10 is equipped with mixture ratio changing means for changing the mixture ratio of the air-fuel mixture; target distance setting means for setting a target distance in an injection direction for burning the fuel; target mixture ratio setting means for setting a target mixture ratio of the air-fuel mixture in the set target distance; mixture ratio estimating means for estimating the mixture ratio of the air-fuel mixture in the set target distance, on the basis of a fact that the momentum of the fuel is stored as the momentum of the air-fuel mixture; and mixture ratio control means for controlling the mixture ratio changing means 52 so as to make the mixture ratio in the estimated target distance become the set target mixture ratio. |
